She Cried

Tonight i’m sharing a poem that I wrote years ago as I realized that God has always been at my side – through the good and the bad.  I feel as if someone out there needs to read it.  If so, I am praying that there is peace and that this poem will touch each person who reads it.

She cried from the wounds of childhood; You comforted her.

She cried for love; You showed her love in many ways.

She cried in moments of weakness; You strengthened her with Your Joy.

She cried during sickness; You healed with each stripe on Your back.

She cried for a loving father; You showed her you are Abba Father.

She cried to be beautiful; You showed her that she was a King’s Princess.

She cried as her life seemed to fall apart, You showed her that what was meant for evil became something good.

She cried as her marriage became ashes; You showed her that Ashes become beauty.

She cried as her arms became empty without her child; You continue to fill that void even as she misses her child.

She cried as her marriage ended, You showed her that You are her helpmate.

She cried as she received another lay off notice, You showed her that you are there with outstretched arms.

She cried as her finances dwindled; You showed her that you are the provider as you multiplied her checkbook.

She cried from what she thought was a cold cruel world; You warmed her with an embrace from the Son.

She cried for a friend; You became that Friend and provided many more friends.

She cried and tears slid down her cheeks.  You came along and wiped away those tears.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
